What are the YMP healthy living programs?

Our Yummy Mummy Physio 12 week healthy living programs for pregnancy and motherhood are designed by women’s health physiotherapist and exercise physiologist Paula Hindle, and Dietitian Jillian Dimock. They are based on the latest research and evidence in physiotherapy and dietetics. Each of the 12 week programs include a combination of Pilates and Fitness workouts, meal plans and recipes.

Where can I use YMP?

Our programs are designed to do from the comfort of your own home. You can also follow our programs from your office, the park and even if you’re away travelling. You just need your smart phone, computer or tablet. It’s that convenient!

I’m Pregnant!! When can I start the programs?

Congratulations on your pregnancy!! Pregnancy is the perfect time to adopt a healthy lifestyle. You can start our pregnancy program anytime from 12 weeks of pregnancy. Check with your obstetrician and midwife before you commence our programs.

I’ve had a baby!! When can I start the programs?

Congratulations and welcome to motherhood!! Motherhood is the perfect time to adopt a healthy lifestyle for yourself and your family. You can start our programs 6 weeks after your birth. Speak to your obstetrician or midwife before you commence. Join up with phase 1 and we’ll start retraining your core safely and effectively, teach you how to lift weights and how to progress back to popular boot camp style exercises such as burpees, mountain climbers, thrusters and more! Don’t be afraid, we’ll show you how to modify these exercises so they are safe and achievable. Your fitness will improve and you’ll be ready to progress through phase 2 and 3 of our programs and enjoy the experience of feeling physically, mentally and emotionally strong, energetic and empowered.

Do the programs include a diet plan?

Each program comes with a 12 week meal plan and recipes.

I had my babies years ago!! Can I still do the programs?

Yes of course you can. My motto is, once postnatal always postnatal!!
Start with our phase 1 program to learn the basics of how to train your core safely and effectively, how to lift weights and how to do the popular boot camp style exercises such as burpees, mountain climbers, thrusters and more! Your fitness will improve and you’ll be ready to progress through phase 2 and 3 of our programs and enjoy the experience of feeling physically, mentally and emotionally strong, energetic and empowered.

I haven’t had a baby yet, can I still do the programs

Absolutely!! Ideally, all women should go into pregnancy physically, mentally and emotionally strong. Learn how to use your core and pelvic floor safely and effectively with our phase 1 program and how to lift weights and perform popular boot camp exercises such as burpees, mountain climbers, thrusters and more. Continue through our phase 2 or 3 pro-gram and if you happen to fall pregnant, join our pregnancy program.

Do I need equipment?

For our programs you will need a gym mat, fitball and some form of weights (small dumbbells or kettle bells) However, if you don’t have any of these, you can still participate in the majority of these programs.

Which program is right for me?

You will receive a 12 week exercise program, 6 pilates workout videos and 6 fitness workout videos, prescribed and instructed by physiotherapist and exercise physiologist Paula Hindle.
You will also receive a 12 week meal plan and recipes prepared by dietitian Jillian Dimock. You will also receive educational blogs and information from Paula and Jillian.
You will also be invited to join a closed Facebook forum where you will be supported and encouraged by Paula and Jillian throughout your 12 week program.

Can I claim the programs with my private health insurance?

No, unfortunately at this stage you cannot claim online programs.

Can I purchase the programs as a gift for a friend?

Yes you can!

I have had pelvic floor issues. Are the programs safe for me?

The programs are safe if you have pelvic floor issues. We offer low impact options and demonstrate modified versions of each exercise. If you are experiencing pelvic floor problems (leakage, heaviness, pain, incontinence, prolapse) I highly recommend you see a women’s health physiotherapist before starting this program. This program is not a substitute for individualised assessment, advice and exercise prescription.
